While Tim Tebow continues to weigh his options on another NFL tryout, the performances of some current quarterbacks have led to the "Why not Tebow?" question.
The latest comes in reference to the Bears in the wake of backup quarterback Jimmy Clausen's performance in relief of starter Jay Cutler during Chicago's 26-0 loss to the Seahawks in Week 3.
Tim Tebow Won't Commit To Another Attempt To Play In NFL
Clausen completed 9-of-17 passes for 63 yards and rushed for another 13 on three carries. The Bears did not commit a turnover but punted on all 10 of their possessions, a feat The Big Lead reports is no small accomplishment.
"Clausen managed something that's really hard to do, getting shutout while having no turnovers. It's probably worse, in fact, I mean, at least go out trying to force a ball into coverage to make a play rather than like this."

His play resulted in another analysis by The Big Lead that mentioned Tebow as an alternative to Clausen in Chicago.
"It continues to be odd to us that coaches would rather go down with someone like Ryan Lindley or Jimmy Clausen, who anybody with eyes knows is ill-fit to succeed as a pocket passer, rather than running the option with somebody like Tim Tebow (or, like, Terrelle Pryor).
"In the case of the Bears, Tebow and Clausen are both devils that John Fox knows. ... Fox's offense and overall teams have performed far better with Tebow than Clausen."
Tebow is doing his best to stay positive in his attempt to rejoin the NFL but still is a bit philosophical.
"Obviously you come to terms because I believe there's a plan for everything," he's said. "You can't believe that God has a plan for you in your life and it's a perfect plan and have doubt at the same time, they just don't go together."
When asked whether he's closed the door on the NFL, Tebow responded, "I've said this a few times, I don't know what the future holds, but I do trust who holds my future."
