Richie Incognito Fight? Dolphins Guard Reportedly Involved In Altercation At Hotel Before Camp [VIDEO]

It's no secret that Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito has a bad temper.

Incognito's constant on-field scraps also carried over to the outside world in an apparent fight that broke out at a nightclub in the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami prior to his team's training camp. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Incognito punched and knocked out a security guard at the hotel.

Incoginto's most recent scrum on the field started in Miami's preseason game against the Houston Texans last weekend where the 6-foot-3 305-pound Incognito got into it with Texans defensive end Antonio Smith.

The two were battling on a play when Incognito's hands appeared to slide under Smith's facemask. Smith, then angered, took of Incognito's helmet and swung it violently at him and was subsequently suspended for the Texans' remaining two preseason games and their regular season opener Sept. 9 against the Chargers in San Diego.

The video of that particular incident can be viewed below:

While there's video of that on-field scrum, there is also video of what happened in the Miami nightclub that night, but CBS Sports has reported that the hotel doesn't feel comfortable releasing it due to fear of bad publicity.

Schefter reported Wednesday that Incognito was struck first that night in the night club. According to Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald, Incognito was originally breaking up a fight when he got hit with a punch from a security guard at the club and after he retaliated he was kicked out of the club. Incognito was reportedly injured, but refused medical treatment.

Reports indicate that the Dolphins were aware of the situation but the organization "has done everything to bury it," according to CBS.

Incognito played in all 16 games with Miami last season, but will only play a maximum of 15 this year thanks to the suspension. The Dolphins look to improve on a 7-9 2012 record and to make the playoffs for the first time since 2008 this season.
