Pam Oliver Hit By Football [VIDEO]: FOX Reporter Nailed In Face By Throw From Chandler Harnish During Indianapolis Colts Vs New York Giants Game

It was just a normal day of reporting news from the sidelines for FOX's Pam Oliver Sunday, until she inadvertantly got involved in the pregame warmups.

Oliver, who was on duty to give on-screen updates during the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts preseason game at MeLife Stadium, was accidentally hit in the face with a football while doing pregame work for FOX by an errant pass from Colts third string quarterback Chandler Harnish.

The video can be seen below:

Harnish tweeted an apology to Oliver, and it can be seen below:

Oliver toughed it out and remained on the sidelines to finish reporting on the game when it started. The Colts eventually defeated the Giants 20-12 in the game. Next up, the Colts will take on the Browns at home Saturday, while the Giants will ignite a New York rivalry with the Jets at MetLife Stadium.

The Giants enter the season looking to improve on a second place finish in the NFC East from last season where the team went 9-7-0 and missed the playoffs, meanwhile Andrew Luck enters his second NFL season as the Colts signal caller, looking to expand on a promising rookie campaign where he led the team to an 11-5-0 record, good enough for second place in the AFC South and a playoff berth. The Colts lost in the wildcard round of last year's playoffs to the eventual-Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens 24-9.

Oliver is hopeful to get through the rest of the preseason and regular season without any more incidents, and she'll be right back out there on the sidelines hoping for no further incidents.

If another ball comes her way, perhaps next time Oliver will look up.
