Be wary of social media, especially if you're an Arsenal fan. The North London club was spurned by Karim Benzema on Tuesday, much like Paris Saint-Germain were spurned by the rumor mill in the Spanish capital.
Below is a recap of the latest transfer gossip surrounding Real Madrid.

A cryptic post on Instagram—one with a hashtag that translated to "towards the future"—led many to believe the Frenchman was en route to London to sign with Arsenal. The plane backdrop didn't help matters, either. All the excitement came to a screeching halt after Real Madrid tweeted a photo featuring their star striker at an event in Shangai.

According to Metro, Arsenal remain persistent and are offering a formal bid of £40.5 million.
Cristiano Ronaldo
Paris Saint-Germain have denied making a €120 million bid to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. Club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi told Spanish outlet Marca (via ESPN FC): "It is quite untrue."
Fueling the rumor mill, of course, is a reported strained relationship between Ronaldo and Rafa Benitez. The newly appointed manager, however, remains adamant that all is well at the Santiago Bernabeu.
"My relationship with him is good," Benitez said. "When someone gets angry during a training session, but then does their job, there's no problem. It's fine."
Jesus Vallejo
Looking to the future, Real Madrid are ready to complete the signing of Jesus Vallejo according to Managing Madrid. Per the report, the 18-year-old defender will stay at Zaragoza on loan next season before joining Los Galacticos in Madrid in 2016.
Vallejo was the captain of the Spanish national team during the U19 European Cup, leading the team to a tournament victory.
