CUBS vs CARDINALS Watch Live Stream FREE Online & Listen: Live Coverage from ST. LOUIS

Tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET on ESPN the Chicago Cubs (39-34) will take on MLB's best team, the St. Louis Cardinals, on Sunday Night Baseball which can be live streamed free by clicking this link. Cardinals fans can listen to the game on KMOX 1120, while Cubs fans can catch the radio broadcast on WGN 720. Jason Hammel (5-2, 2.65 ERA) will take the mound for the Cubs vs. Carlos Martinez (8-3, 2.89 ERA) of the Cardinals.

The Cubs have one of baseball's most exciting teams, which is loaded with upcoming young talent, but the NL Central-leading Cardinals have remained a thorn in their side. St. Louis is looking to sweep the Cubs tonight, and in four of their six losses this year to the Cardinals the Cubs have lost a lead.

"We have to get over the hump, and it's more a mental hump than a physical hump," Maddon told MLB's official website. "I believe in our guys, I believe our guys can play with these guys. I know their record is better than ours. There's a long way to go and we're going to get it done here."

Hammel will have to deal carefully with Cardinals outfielder Jason Heyward, who has exploded in his last 10 games with a slash line of .410/.465/.769 to go with four home runs, two doubles and four RBI. Heyward is also 8-for-14 in his career vs. Hammel, and hitting .419 vs. the Cubs in 2015.

The Cardinals, despite losing ace Adam Wainwright early in the season, have become the first team to reach 50 wins in fewer than 75 games since the 2005 World Series-winning Chicago White Sox.

"We're not completely oblivious to (the record), but we're not spending a lot of time on it," manager Mike Matheny said. "It's nice watching the bulk of these guys have success."
