SEATTLE MARINERS vs SAN DIEGO PADRES Watch Live Stream Online & Listen: Live Coverage from PETCO PARK SAN DIEGO

The Seattle Mariners (22-31) will take on the San Diego Padres (24-28) in a late afternoon, 3:40 p.m. ballgame at Petco Park in San Diego today. The game can be live streamed for free here; Mariners fans can listen to the game at 710 ESPN while the Padres broadcast will be on XPRS 1090. The game can also be live streamed at MLB.com with a subscription.

The Mariners will send ace Felix Hernandez (5-4, 2.51 ERA) to the hill and he will try to get right after back-to-back poor outings against the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers. "King" Felix failed to get to six innings in either start, surrendering a combined 19 hits and 10 earned runs in the two losses.

Although the Padres are four games under .500 and in second-to-last place in the National League West, they have not been an easy out in Petco, going 14-12 at home so far this season. San Diego is searching for its third straight victory, and will have a good chance to get it with Andrew Cashner (4-2, 3.38 ERA) toeing the rubber.

While the Padres are known league-wide as a meek offensive outfit, they have actually been hovering near the MLB average in runs per game, while the Mariners have fallen far short of that.

The Mariners score the sixth-fewest runs per game in all of baseball, and have been forced to send down two supposed building blocks of their future this month, catcher Jesus Montero and second baseman Dustin Ackley. They are also the fourth-worst team in the AL in terms of strikeouts (441); Seattle's lineup is averaging 8.3 strikeouts per game.

Slugging left fielder Mike Morse, one of the Mariners' lone sources of power, will miss his second straight game with a strained quadriceps but the M's do expect to have regular first baseman Justin Smoak back in the saddle.
