CM Punk fans that were hoping to see the "Best in the World" in a WWE ring again one day are in for some disappointment -- at least if his latest statement is any indication.
Punk spoke to CBS Cleveland about possibly returning to a WWE ring at the AP Music Awards on Monday and was asked whether or not he would return to the company.
"No, no. No. Never, ever. Never, ever, ever," Punk told the affiliate. "They're going to go crazy about that on Twitter, they're going to hold me to it and yeah, whatever."
Bill Goldberg Would 'Love' A WWE Return
Punk, who said he felt "f---ing awesome," walked out on the WWE back in January on the day after the Royal Rumble due to his frustration with the company's use for him and from being burned out from traveling, and he hasn't appeared since initially walking out.
He addressed his six month absence from the company during the interview.
"I don't know, I don't really remember," Punk said about what has happened the last six months. "There's chunks of my life that I don't remember due to staph infections and concussions. You can't blame it all on drugs with this guy because I'm straight edge."
Punk also showed his wedding ring as he got married to WWE Diva AJ Lee in mid-June, leading to rumors that he may return. Punk has yet to come back and his contract with the WWE expired last week.
Punk also addressed how his appearance at the awards came together and said he was originally asked to host it before eluding to the fact that the award show was on Monday and he had prior engagements on Monday night when he was originally asked, meaning WWE Monday Night RAW.
"I've had so many friends in and out of the music business both in front of the camera and behind the scenes that I was asked a long time ago [to be here]," Punk said. "Honestly, I think originally I was asked to host it, but I had prior engagements that wouldn't of allowed me to be here on a Monday. Those fell through and now here I am."
Punk has not been seen in the WWE for most of 2014, and if his words are any indication, he may never be seen in the squared circle again.
