CM Punk News [VIDEO]: Jim Ross Says Punk Isn't Slated For His Show, Update On WWE Payback Betting Odds

Jim Ross is putting on a one man show in Chicago this weekend in the hometown of former WWE Superstar CM Punk and the site of the WWE Payback pay-per-view on Sunday, but the WWE Hall of Famer said that there are no plans for Punk to appear at his show.

Conflicting Reports On Daniel Bryan's Return From Injury

Ross told ChicagoNow.com that there are currently no plans in place for Punk to appear at his one-man show this weekend in Chicago.

"There are no plans for CM Punk to be at my show but stranger things have happened," Ross said. "I honestly don't know but he knows how I think of him. I hold him in high regard as a performer and more importantly as a man."

Seth Rollins Discusses Potential Shield Breakup

Punk walked out on the WWE in January likely due to his frustration and from being burned out from the rigorous traveling and performing schedules for the WWE, and this week he spoke openly about being a retired wrestler at the age of 35, leading many to believe he won't be coming back.

There was some speculation that perhaps Punk would return at Payback since it's in Chicago, however the speculation hasn't amounted to much since Punk missed RAW in Chicago in March and also didn't show up for the biggest event of the year at WrestleMania XXX on April 6 in New Orleans.

Despite Payback being in Punk's hometown, the "Best in the World" has given no indication that he will be coming back.

As far as betting odds for Payback go, Wrestlingheadlines.com has reported that The Shield and Evolution have gone back and forth between being the favorite but Evolution was most recently the favorite while John Cena is a slight favorite over Bray Wyatt.

Elsewhere, Bad News Barrett is the favorite over Rob Van Dam, Sheamus is a slight favorite over Cesaro, Paige is favored to win over Alicia Fox and El Torito is the favorite to defeat Hornswoggle.

WWE Payback airs live this Sunday, June 1 at the Allstate Arena in Chicago.
