WWE Payback 2014 Rumors [VIDEO]: United States Title Match Added, Updated Card

WWE presents Payback next Sunday, June 1 live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, and the company has announced the addition of a United States Championship match to the card.

The WWE revealed that Sheamus will defend his United States Championship against Cesaro at Payback. Cesaro defeated Sheamus in a non-title match on last week's Monday Night RAW from London via a German suplex.

The match is added to the card which is headlined by a six-man elimination no holds barred tag team match between The Shield (Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose) and Evolution (Triple H, Randy Orton and Batista).

The Case For And Against CM Punk Appearing At Payback

There is unlikely to be a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match since Daniel Bryan underwent surgery to correct a problem with his neck, and the WWE has yet to announce the fate of the title as Bryan is expected to forfeit it on next week's RAW.

Bryan was slated to face Kane in a Buried Alive match, but with Bryan getting hurt the match was called off.

Other matches on the card include Bad News Barrett defending his WWE Intercontinental Championship against Rob Van Dam and John Cena battling Bray Wyatt in a Last Man Standing match.

There are rumors that Adam Rose will make his in-ring debut taking on Jack Swagger at the pay-per-view event and that The Usos will defend the Tag Team Championships against Luke Harper and Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family, but those matches have yet to be confirmed.

There has been some fans wondering if CM Punk will return at this event since it's from his hometown of Chicago, but with Punk likely not returning to the WWE at any point and both parties appearing to move on, it is doubtful the "Best in the World" will be at the show.

WWE Payback 2014 airs next Sunday, June 1 in Chicago, and here is the updated card:

Six-Man Elimination No Holds Barred Tag Match:
The Shield vs. Evolution

Last Man Standing:
John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt

WWE Intercontinental Championship:
Bad News Barrett (c) vs. Rob Van Dam

WWE United States Championship:
Sheamus (c) vs. Cesaro
