Like many celebrities with nothing to do in May because of the Los Angeles Lakers' failure to make the playoffs, Larry David found himself having to attend a Los Angeles Kings hockey game on Thursday night.
Breaking news: Not only is he not a face-painter like the "Seinfeld" character, Puddy, but he was also able to curb his enthusiasm.
According to NESN.com, David, the co-creator of "Seinfeld" and creator of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," was one of several celebrities to watch the Kings' 6-3 victory over the San Jose Sharks to stave off elimination in the first round of their playoff series.
The Sharks still lead 3-1 with Game 5 going back to San Jose on Saturday night.
David was sitting, someone disinterestedly at first, with Fox Sports reporter Charissa Thompson and just a couple of people away from the Lakers' Pau Gasol.
Twitter also caught has Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler at the game, pop band One Direction's Harry Styles and UFC champion Georges St Pierre in attendance at the Kings' playoff games.

As for David, he did seem a lot more attentive later, both in a shot of the Kings game with Thompson and in a selfie with Thompson and fellow Fox reporter Erin Andrews. as captured by Larry Brown Sports.

The good news for the Hollywood celebrities is that the Los Angeles Clippers are still alive in the playoffs and it's only about six more months until the 2014-15 NBA season starts and the Lakers can start their ascent out of the Pacific Division cellar, with or without Gasol.
