Andrés Guardado has plenty to worry about as the Bundesliga season comes to a close, specifically earning playing time for a club attempting to qualify for the UEFA Champions League. Bayer Leverkusen hold a one-point advantage at the moment for the final allocated spot in Germany.
One thing he's not concerned with according to Univision Deportes, is the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
"If I am considered for the World Cup, I will try to do my best," he said. "But right now I really do not think about it. I prefer to focus on my career and allow things to come on their own accord," he added.
"I've been fortunate to have already played in two World Cups."
The 27-year-old is also fortunate enough to still be courted by clubs at this stage of his career. Goal has linked the Valencia loanee with Liga MX side Chivas Guadalajara. The Goats have shown a keen interest in returning Guardado to Mexico, but this time, it would be in the red and white stripes of Guadalajara.
Andres Guardado mentioning today once again that he is "rojinegro de corazon" with rumors flying of interest from Chivas.

Being a former Atlas man, this is something Guardado clearly doesn't approve of.
"I have not received any deals or anything. I have read a few notes saying that I've already been spoken for, but no, not at all," he added.
"I was caught by surprise because today I received several messages from friends making jokes about Chivas and all that."
"But they know I'm Red and Black [Atlas] at heart."
"It's not that I'm dismissing [a return to Mexico]. It's just that, it would be in the future. Maybe two, three of four years. I want to continue here [in Europe]."
