Nike set to launch new LeBron, KD, Kobe 'Elite' signature sneakers line [VIDEO]

Nike has unveiled its superhero-themed "Elite" sneaker line highlighting LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant to coincide with the upcoming start of the NBA playoffs.

The Hero Collection colorways line it touted to "represent the superhuman skills each brings to the court." The official release is set for May 9.

According to SI.com, the LeBron 11 Elite Hero "is tailored to James' game and is sleek and strong." The sneaker will come in red, black, green and yellow colors and "represents an evolution of the LeBron 11."

The KD VI Elite Hero is described as "maximizing the strength and breakability" of the league's top scorer. It features "fly wire technology" that allows the player to move "precisely and naturally."

Though the still injured Bryant won't be appearing in this year's playoffs, perhaps his Kobe 9 Elite Hero sneakers might. Nike still plans to release the grey, green and yellow colored signature shoe is also described as Bryant's "most provocative shoe.

The NBA playoffs are slated to begin in April and and James' Heat and Durant's Thunder are set to be at the forefront of it all. Currently, the Thunder are the Western Conference's second seed and the two-time defending champion Heat are seeking to become just the third time in nearly the last two decades to earn an NBA three peat.
