Sports World News guide to March Madness Bracket games
Giants sign CB Walter Thurmond (1 year, $3.5 million):
The Giants solidify their secondary and get a great deal on a good corner. One year “prove it” deals are a very good thing in the NFL and the Giants will not regret this one. This is a more underrated signings that shows the Giants have a great front office.

Sports World News 2014 NFL Mock Draft 1.0: Part One
Panthers sign S Roman Harper (2 years, $4.5M; $1.5M guaranteed):
A nice piece for the Panthers who are being crushed by their cap situation, but badly needed to sign a safety. This is certainly a downgrade for the Panthers, and the situation is turning nuclear quick; they need to do damage control on all the things they lost this offseason. This was a nice start in the right direction.
Grade: B-
Browns sign RB Ben Tate (2 years, $7 million):
Tate thinks very highly of himself in the NFL and now he will have is opportunity to prove his worth. Tate got less years then predicted but he got the right money. The Browns find their running back post-Trent Richardson while continuing to build toward the draft. Tate and the Browns seemed like a match made in heaven and the only surprise here is it took this long.

NFL Draft Team Previews: San Francisco 49ers
Patriots sign WR Brandon LaFell (3 years, $11 million):
We knew the Patriots would grab a receiver, but LaFell? I don't like his fit on the Patriots, but he is instantly one of the better receivers on the New England roster. Tom Brady has done more with less and LaFell could develop further, but this isn't a great move. Julian Edelman also re-signed with the Patriots and no matter the money the deal is a great one for Brady and company.
Grade: C
Broncos sign WR Emmanuel Sanders (3 years, $15M; $6M guaranteed):
This is one of the oddest signing I have ever seen and is quite shady to be honest. Sanders verbally agreed to a contract with the Chiefs and then hours later signed with the Broncos. Sanders made himself no friends in the free agency market and should pray he is a career Bronco. The deal however is solid and good price for the man replacing Eric Decker in Denver.
Grade: B+
Good Moves:
Jets re-sign DE/OLB Calvin Pace (2 years, $5 million)
Vikings re-sign G Charlie Johnson (2 years, $2.5 million)
Patriots re-sign WR Julian Edelman (Undisclosed)
Bad Moves:
Redskins sign CB Tracy Porter (2 years, $6 million)
