NFL Updates: Terrelle Pryor Officially Joins The Washington Redskins; Will He Complement QB Kirk Cousins? [VIDEO]

Terrelle Pryor won't be back in a Cleveland Browns uniform. The 27-year old wide receiver officially joins the Washington Redskins after Pryor and the Browns failed to reach an agreement in the offseason. Will Pryor's arrival help the Redskins and QB Kirk Cousins bounce back from a disappointing showing last season?

Terrelle Pryor was originally drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the 2011 Supplemental draft and started as quarterback for them. He only lasted for three seasons with the Raiders after he was traded to the Seattle Seahawks in 2014. But, he was immediately cut by the Seahawks and spend the following year with the Kansas City Chiefs and Cincinnati Bengals.

However, Terrelle Pryor was again released by the Bengals which paves the way for the Cleveland Browns to claim him off waivers. From being a quarterback, Pryor decides to switch position and became a wide receiver for the Browns. His decision pays great dividends as he managed to have a breakout performance on that spot for the Browns last season.

And once again, Terrelle Pryor relationship with the Cleveland Browns will be cut short after spending two seasons with the team. According to CBSSports, Pryor agrees to sign a one-year, $8 million deal with the Washington Redskins. The deal is a $6 million guaranteed salary that includes a $3 million signing bonus while the remaining $2 million will be through incentive.

Earlier reports are saying that Terrelle Pryor allegedly turned down a four-year, $32 million deal that the Cleveland Browns initially offered as he wishes to make it $52 million. And now, Pryor are taking a risk of moving to the Washington Redskins in hope that he will get a multi-year contract with them. And the Redskins seems to have no second thoughts of acquiring him.

The Washington Redskins just recently lost wide receiver DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon in free agency and the arrival of Terrelle Pryor could somehow ease their departure. Last season, Pryor was able to register 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns on his first tenure as a wide receiver. Now, he is said to be working well with Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins.

According to Washington Post, Terrelle Pryor and Kirk Cousins are reportedly planning to train together to give them more time to jell and have a good head start in the offseason practices. Both players are said to be excited to get going even there is uncertainty that Cousin will still be the signal caller for the Redskins next season. Cousins and the Redskins organization are still undergoing negotiation for his contract extension.
