NBA News: Philadelphia 76ers Clear Andrew Bogut To Join LeBron James At Cleveland Cavaliers [VIDEO]

Andrew Bogut is the hot topic of online news nowadays. After being traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Nerlens Noel before the February trade deadline, Bogut is set to become a free agent. And it appears that he could be heading to the Cleveland Cavaliers after clearing waivers with the 76ers.

The Cavaliers have been actively recruiting high-caliber players before the trade deadline as they are gunning to defend their title this season. Last month, they've acquired Kyle Korver from the Atlanta Hawks and just recently, they signed Deron Williams to contract after being waived by the Mavericks. And now, it looks like Andrew Bogut is the next big name that is set to join the team in the coming days.

NBA.com reported that veteran center Andrew Bogut choose the Cleveland Cavaliers to be his next destination. According to Bogut's agent, the 32-year old Australian center intends to sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers once he clears waivers with the Philadelphia 76ers and could be joining the defending NBA champions in the weekend.

Aside from the Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs and Houston Rockets are the teams that showed interest in acquiring Andrew Bogut but he already informed the three other teams about his decision of going to Cleveland.

Andrew Bogut, who is in his twelfth season in the league, is averaging 3.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.0 block per game before being traded by the Mavericks. He will be reunited with former Mavericks teammate Deron Williams if ever he'll be signed by the Cavaliers.

On the separate report by FOXSports, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be lucky to have Andrew Bogut and Deron Williams as they've acquired both players without giving up any players or draft picks. Both players are believed to be a perfect fit to Cavs system and boost their chances of retaining their crown this season.

Deron Williams will be a perfect complement backup to Kyrie Irving at the point guard spot while Andrew Bogut will be added inside presence to toughen up their interior defense. Both players will be a key addition in order to compete with their rival, the Golden State Warriors.
