NBA trade news is all over the news today as all teams have only till today to make a deal to other teams. And one team that are said to be too busy looking at the trade market is the Indiana Pacers. Latest news is saying that they are interested in adding Brook Lopez before the trade deadline ends today.

The Indian Pacers have a big chance of making it to the playoffs this season as they currently sit at the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference standing. However, they've just recently lost six consecutive games which a little of concern for the team. And now, they are looking to reinforce their lineup heading into the postseason.

On the other hand, Brook Lopez name has been frequently mentioned in numerous trade rumors for a couple of months. But the Nets organization never made any comment about his status until recent reports revealed that they are ready to release him for the right price.

According to ESPN, the Brooklyn Nets are now open of trading Brook Lopez to other teams and asking for a first- and second-round pick instead of a deal that includes two first-round picks that they previously ask for. And it appears that the Indiana Pacers could be a potential trade partner for the Nets.

League sources are saying that the Indiana Pacers are willing to trade away their 2017 first-round draft pick in their effort to surround Paul George with a better supporting crew and not leave the team in free agency. George has the option to opt out of his contract with the Pacers at the end of the 2017-2018 season if the team will not make a move to make him happy.

And trading for Brook Lopez could make Paul George stay and finish his career with the franchise. According to NESN, though the Indiana Pacers are also pursuing Philadelphia 76ers big man Jahlil Okafor, they are also looking for Lopez as an alternative option.

Brook Lopez, who is averaging 20.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game this season, will be a big boost both on Pacers' offense and defense. He will be a big help to ease the load on George shoulder of carrying the team all by himself.
