Latest NBA trade news is saying that the Los Angeles Lakers is not done on the trade market and still trying to making deals as of this moment. They are said to be chasing Paul George in the last minute trade deal with the Indiana Pacers as the final day of the trade deadline is winding down.

The Lakers organization announced the hiring of Magic Johnson as the new president of basketball operation and Rob Pelinka as the new general manager of the team. Hours after assuming the position, Johnson made his first move by quickly sealing a trade deal with the Houston Rockets.

The Lakers send shooting guard Lou Williams to the Rockets in exchange for small forward Corey Brewer and a future first-round draft pick. The move seems to be a sign of many changes that will happen to the Lakers team under the Magic era as they try to salvage their season while it is still early.

And it appears that they are not done yet as they are also targeting George to add on their roster heading into the last day of the trade transaction. According to ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers are among the teams that have inquired the availability of Indiana Pacers' superstar Paul George lately.

And Johnson was alleged to be the facilitator of the inquiry to George as he called Pacers president Larry Bird early Wednesday after arriving at his Lakers' office as per stated in the report. On the same day, Paul George met with Pacers owner Herb Simon discussing his future and commitment to the team moving forward.

But the rumor into, as a recent report is pushing to make the trade deal between the Lakers and Pacers happen. According to CBSSports, the Los Angeles Lakers is seriously targeting Paul George and now "in the process of trying to land" the four-time NBA All-Star.
