Samsung has officially started rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus users starting with Turkey. The roll out will take place in phases, however the European users most probably to be the first ones to get the update.

Few weeks ago, Samsung Turkey had revealed a roadmap which has actually confirmed the expected release dates of Android 7.0 Nougat for a number of Samsung devices. However, the dates are being proven correct as the Galaxy S6 Edge+ has just joined the party with firmware version G928CXXU3CQC7.

The over-the-air (OTA) release for the Galaxy S6 edge+ will begin soon; it was originally scheduled to come on March 13. Once it starts in Turkey, it will slowly make its way to other markets, though this process is expected to take several weeks - or perhaps even months, particularly for carrier variants of the device, as per Neowin.

Samsung is quickly rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in more markets across Europe, according to latest reports. Users in Bulgaria, Austria, Hungary, Cyprus, Greece, Croatia and Turkey can download this update on their smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus comes in a 5.70-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels. This handset is equipped by 1.5GHz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which is unfortunately cannot be expanded. On the camera side, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ features a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Under the hood there is a 3000mAh non-removable battery. Also, smartphone measures 154.40 x 75.80 x 6.90 and weighs 153.00 grams.
