One of HTC's social media pages has recently teased the launch of the company's upcoming flagship phone which might be introduced into the market soon. However, the new features which are anticipated to be found in the HTC 11 might not mean much compared to its competitors.

According to Android Central, HTC Taiwan has posted on their Facebook page a teaser that appears to be foreshadowing the release of a new HTC 11. However the teaser has not been confirmed to be of HTC 11 officially.

With HTC rumored to be releasing another flagship phone that has a sapphire screen, company president Chialin Chang has also confirmed that a new model will come when new CPUs are introduced in the market, as reported by Tbreak . "We want to have a couple of months of leadership before the next flagship CPU comes. But that will be in another period of time - not at MWC (Mobile World Congress)," Chang said.

On the other hand, some reports also claims that HTC's latest lineup might be sidelined considering the fact that their incoming features might be accessible to other mobile devices that are better in price and specs. According to Forbes , the market for Android mobile devices has become very saturated, with a big bunch of smartphone brands competing with each other. HTC will have to fight with top brands like Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, and Xiaomi in the new Android smartphone market.

According to Droid Report, HTC is now planning to rename the HTC 11 so that it suits HTC's virtual reality (VR) franchise, HTC Vive. The HTC 11 will allegedly be renamed as the HTC U Vive and it is rumored to come with at least 4 GB of RAM and will feature Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835. There are rumors that the launch of the HTC 11 has been delayed because the Snapdragon 835 is currently exclusive to Samsung Galaxy S8.

As for its other specs, the upcoming smartphone from HTC is rumored to have a maximum of 256 GB storage, expanded from its default storage of 32 GB and 64 GB. It will also sport a 12-megapixel (MP) rear camera and an 8-MP front snapper. Its battery is said to be at 3,700 mAh and its 5.5-inch display will have a 1440 x 2560-pixel resolution.
