Microsoft Surface Book 2 To Feature Clamshell Design & Lower Introductory Price; Specifications, Release Date

Microsoft Surface Book 2 is one the highly rumored products from Microsoft after Surface Pro 5. The Surface Book 3 is reportedly in mass production right now and will be released sooner than expected, if latest reports are to be believed. Additionally, reports claim that the device is much simpler and will be available at a good lower price.

As reported by DigiTimes, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 is already in its mass production stage. The publication also revealed that in this year's release, consumers would see a simpler change and development in the device as compared to the first generation's release. The Surface Book 2 will reportedly adopt a clamshell design in the place of the traditional 2-in-1 hybrid design.

Moreover, Surface Book 2 is also expected to boast a 13.5-inch display and will have an aluminum-magnesium-alloy chassis. The upcoming Microsoft Surface Book 2 will be using the same screen but will be coming with a more conventional 4K resolution of 3,840 x 2,160, as reported by Tech Radar.

Microsoft Surface Book 2 is also expected to have Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors. The said chip will enhance the graphics and performances of the upcoming Surface Book 2.  The forthcoming device will also need to upgrade its battery life in order to support a built-in recharge dock for the Surface Pen, as the new model will be featuring newly improved Surface Pen.

For the release date, the Microsoft Surface Book 2 will hit the market soon with a lower price than the existing Microsoft Surface Book that features an iCore5 with a 128 GB of RAM. Device is rumored to have an introductory price of $1,000, which is much lower compared to its predecessor's price.

The reports also claim that the portable computing device will be available to the public by the end of this March or in the earlier part of April. For more update on Surface Pro stay tuned to Sports World News.
