Rumors floating about the highly anticipated Microsoft Surface Pro 5 claims that 2-in-1 is likely to launch this spring featuring AMD's latest Ryzen processors and the Windows 10 Creators Update. There are also rumors which claim that there will be two variants of the Surface Pro 5 i.e. one with the AMD CPU and another with Intel's Kaby Lake.

Surface Pro fans were expecting Surface Pro 5's release at the recently held Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona. But as it was a no-show at the event, however there are those who are now under the feeling that the hybrid gadget might be unveiling within the same month as the Windows 10 Creators Update that scheduled for the release on April 11.

Initial rumors have indicated that the Surface Pro 5 will sport the Intel's latest Kaby Lake processors. On the other hand, there is a new speculation that claims that the Surface Pro 5 will be powered by AMD Ryzen CPUs instead, as reported by Inquisitr.

The rumor is emerging after a same device like Surface Pro was used in the teaser for the film on Youtube "Alien: Covenant". The teaser shows a scientist using what it seems is a Microsoft Surface Pro and later embedding a chip with the AMD logo on the head of Walter, played by Michael Fassbender. The shift from Intel to AMD would not be a surprise as the AMD Ryzen has been getting honour since its release.

The links between the upcoming movie's recent trailer and the upcoming Surface Pro 5 remain pretty slim. There is a pretty good chance that the Redmond-based tech giant is considering AMD as a partner for the Surface Pro 5. Since the processors' release, the AMD Ryzen 7 series has been showered with approval, with many stating that the chips were comparable in every way to Intel's Kaby Lake processors.

As per PC Advisor, the Surface Pro 5 may launch this spring. The reason for this is the Surface Pro series is ripe for an upgrade.

Microsoft did not debut the Surface Pro 5 at last year's October Windows event and last month's MWC 2017 also. So it has been more than a year since the Surface Pro 4 was released so it is highly plausible that a new one is coming.
