Reports about Colin Kaepernick status is still one of the hot topics of online news nowadays. After opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers, many are asking where he will be going? Recent reports are saying that there is a possibility that he could be heading to the Seattle Seahawks and truly leave the 49ers team.

Colin Kaepernick had been one controversial person last season. He began the national anthem protest when he sat during the anthem, as opposed to the tradition of standing. He later explained that he wanted to show his disapproval about the wrongdoings against African Americans and minorities in the United States. His protest gathered mixed reaction with some supporting him while others are opposing his opinion.

With Colin Kaepernick protest, the San Francisco 49ers campaign took a big hit last season. The 49ers only won two out of sixteen games good for the last-place finish in the NFC division. Many think that Kaepernick failed to stabilize the 49ers offense. And now that he choose to test the free agency market, it looks like the Seahawks is one potential destination for him next season.

Two weeks ago, Yahoo Sports reported the possibility that Colin Kaepernick might find his way of playing with the Seattle Seahawks days after opting out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers. However, from a starting role with the 49ers, Kaepernick might found himself to be a backup to Seahawks starting QB Russell Wilson.

Aside from that, Colin Kaepernick might be paid less if ever he decides to transfer to the Seattle Seahawks but the opportunity to play in the playoffs or maybe in Super Bowl is high. The Seahawks was able to enter the playoffs last season but wasn't able to proceed further as they beaten by the Atlanta Falcons in the divisional playoffs. Now, they aim to duplicate their performance last season and Kaepernick might somehow help them come true.

Sporting News further added that Colin Kaepernick rumored transfer could be his chance to get his career back on track with the right team. Last season, Kaepernick has thrown 2,241 yards for sixteen touchdowns and four interceptions with a 90.7 percent passer rating. Don't forget that Kaepernick brought the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl only in his sophomore year.

Will Colin Kaepernick decides to join the Seattle Seahawks next season?
