Nintendo Switch is set to release on March 3 for $299 and fans have already placed pre-orders. While there is less than a month on release and still many people don't know all the details about the console.

For the people who already placed and who are about to place their Nintendo Switch pre-orders, here are the five reasons they should reconsider their decisions. It's never too late to cancel the pre-order.

1. There are Some Uncertain Things:

There are many unanswered questions even after last month's Nintendo Switch presentation. Uncertain things like the working of virtual console and online features, internet access cost and the need of matchmaking and voice chat through a smartphone app.

There must be a reason why Nintendo kept silent about these questions. Or there might not be a one, but why to take the risk this earlier.

2. There is Enough Time before Good Games Arrive:

Besides "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild", the next major releases of Nintendo Switch are "Mario Kart 8 Deluxe" which is in April and "Splatoon 2" which will release on this summer. "Super Mario Odyssey" will release in the fall.

There will be a good amount of Nintendo Switch consoles available in mid-year when these games will arrive. Currently, there is no point to buy Switch to play "Zelda" only.

3. Play "Zelda" on Wii U:

Nintendo fans who are willing to buy Switch are most likely to have Nintendo's console Wii U. The biggest Switch launch game "Breath of the Wild" can be played on Wii U.

It is not a good move to invest $300 without knowing more about the console. On the other side, the basic gameplay is almost identical across both the platforms.

4. Cautious Third-Party Support:

As written in Express, Ubisoft's For Honor director Jason VandenBerghe confirmed that new console, Nintendo Switch is not in the team's current plans. "It's not something that we're focused on. We've been in development on For Honor for a long time and the question of 'Will this game work?' is the big thing," he told.

It is clear that third-parties don't want to take any risk currently before the release of Switch. However, Switch will need support from game giants like Ubisoft and EA Sports to stand in a market.

5. Chances of Price Drops are high:

Nintendo has a history of price drops. Nintendo 3DS was launched in March 2011 for $249 which was dropped down to $169 after five months. Nintendo offered 20 free virtual games for early buyers to compensate their extra money.

As written in Daily Star, Trusted Reviews has remarked that it's possible to pre-order the Nintendo Switch for as little as £139.99 when trading in selected consoles and other devices.

Nintendo Switch was rumored to have $249 price tag but instead, it was set for $299. There is a chance that price might drop if the console doesn't sell as per the expectations and Nintendo might offer discounts in near future.
