In a recent event, Nintendo announced almost every detail of upcoming console Nintendo Switch. The main concern of players was the memory as it comes with only 32GB of internal storage. It was cleared as this console will support micro SDXC cards with up to 2TB memory.

Nintendo announced that console will come up with 32GB of internal storage during the Nintendo Switch presentation. And they added that it will support external SD cards to expand the space. But they have not cleared anything deeply about the external support.

Recently, in Nintendo Switch London Event on January 13, Nintendo cleared that its game console Switch will support external storage space up to 2TB via micro SD card. IGN reported that currently, the largest capacity micro SDXC cards are 256GB in size.

Nintendo showed off a 256GB card in use with the system during its Treehouse live event last week. Out of 32GB space, some will be taken up by the console's operating system.

Popular game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild uses 13.4GB space. So, gamers who want to purchase Switch might want to consider taking micro SDXC cards to expand the memory.

The fact that Nintendo Switch will support up to 2TB micro SDXC card shows how much long Nintendo can think about the technology. 2TB cards are not currently in the market but Switch will also support them when they arrive.

As written in Game Informer, 1TB micro SDXC cards are still ways off for most consumers as well. 256GB micro SDXC cards cost around $200 currently.

Along with the good news of storage, there is a bad one as well. Nintendo's social network for gaming called Miiverse where players used to share screenshots, upload art and hold game forums will not be supported by Switch.

However, there might be a new social media platform support for Nintendo Switch but it is not announced yet. Also, a beloved 3DS feature StreetPass will also not make it to the Switch.

Gamers can have their latest gaming console Nintendo Switch on March 3 for $299. Along with Nintendo's console, much-awaited game Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be released with 1-2-Switch, Super Bomberman R, Just Dance 2017, and Skylanders: Imaginators.
