Nintendo Switch Pre-Sale: Reddit User Reveals The Walmart Price Tag

One of the Walmart employees shared a photo of the price tag on Reddit which shows Nintendo Switch pre-sell at $399. Everyone was so shocked because predicted price of this console was $250.

As written in VG 24/7, the Reddit user who posted it said he works at the retailer, and although the sticker has a date of January 10, the image is of a very low quality and could be a fake.

Recently, Nikkei said that the console will be on sale for around $250. They revealed accurate information many times before. Nikkei brings rumors about Japanese gaming industry and this rumor about the price is a match with previous ones.

$400 is the very high price as per the specifications of Switch. There is a possibility that Nintendo will release different SKUs at the different price which depends on a number of games included and other accessories.

Gamers are anxiously waiting for the price, release date and detailed specification of Nintendo Switch. Said to be Walmart employee helped gamers in one of the aspects, price. However, many people think that this is fake because analyst expected much lower price than $400.

Price revealed is same as the price of the PS4 Pro and $100 more than Xbox One S and PS4. As per the specifications and most of the rumors, Nintendo Switch is less powerful than PlayStation 4 and if the price would be this high then it will be hard for this new console to stay in the market.

According to Game Rant, one of the biggest arguments against a $400 price tag is that the console likely isn't powerful enough to handle many current-generation titles. Fortunately, this suspense about the price of the latest console of Nintendo will not last long because Nintendo is most likely to open up pre-orders once the event is complete.

However, as announced in latest Nintendo event, this latest gaming console Nintendo Switch will release on March 3, 2017, and its official price is $299.99.
