Last month, Nintendo launched 'Super Mario Run' for iOS devices and said that they will soon launch it for Android users. Now, they announced that it will be delivered in March.
This Wednesday, Nintendo tweeted on official 'Super Mario Run' Twitter page that "Android version Super Mario Run began delivery in 3/2017. Pre-register now Google Play, started to distribute in a notification to let you know! Please register."
However, Japanese gaming company has not specified the release date. Currently, users can pre-register and they will be notified when the game becomes available on Play Store.
As suggested by iDigitalTimes, users need only search the Super Mario Run title in the Google Play Store and select the option to be notified on the game's landing page.
Super Mario Run was launched on iOS in December of last year. Many Android users were anxious but Nintendo has not given an answer on why the game launched on iOS first. Generally, mobile applications and games release on iOS first and then on Android.
There are plenty of Android devices around the globe produced by various companies so it is hard for developers to launch the game first on Android. 'Super Mario' fans are very happy to play this game on mobile.
Along with the criticism, Nintendo's 'Super Mario Run' achieved more than 40 million downloads in just four days after launch on iOS. However, there were many users who were disappointed by the $10 charge to unlock the levels.
Super Mario Run reigned amongst the top 25 highest grossing mobile games on iOS but not for long. Nintendo stocks dropped soon after the release and analysts believe that iOS launch was a test run to see the market response to 'Super Mario Run'.
SuperData Research CEO Joost believes that the ten bucks price is too high and if Nintendo can drop it to six bucks and get another 10 million purchases than they can make $60 million.
Currently, 1 in 10 people who have downloaded the 'Super Mario Run' absolutely free has paid the charges to unlock all the levels.
It is important to see how Nintendo sets their price on Android. Meanwhile, fans are eagerly waiting for the release date of 'Super Mario Run' for Android.
