Pokémon Duel has released in Japan about a year ago as Pokémon Comaster. On January 24, Nintendo released this strategy board game. Here are 10 things to know about the pocket monster game.

4. This game is not similar to Pokémon Go

No, Pokémon Duel is not at all similar to Pokémon Go. It can be compared with Chinese checkers instead. And as written in CNET, it is a board game with the objective of moving all your Pokémon into the rival's territory to reach your goal before your rival reaches the goal in your territory.

5. Avatar will not change

Avatar of the boy is assigned by default and it cannot be changed. Some people like their avatars female but it is not possible in this game. Gamer is allowed to give avatar a nickname and get to change skin color, hair color, and hairstyle.

6. Starting off is easy

To get started, the gamer will get a Duel Set which consists of six Pokémon and three plates. Also, a customary mask to wear in the championship.

7. Boost rating by winning

It is very simple, win a game and increase the rating and rating will go down if player lose. The user will get a league promotion after reaching a rating of 1200. Player will get an opponent with similar rating while playing online. Sounds like big games like 'Clash of Clans' and 'Clash Royale'.

8. Train and gain

The training center is there to practice skills and make Pokémon better. By winning the training matches, a player will improve his skills as well as receive Pokémon, plates, and gems.

9. Check Messages and Daily Missions

Not only by purchasing but the player can get gems through regular gameplay as well. For e.g. by reward for completing a tutorial or daily mission. But it won't directly show up in inventory automatically. There is a menu button in league screen in which player need to go to messages to get the bonus.

10. Different Colors of attacks

There are different colors of attacks with hierarchy. The lowest attack is white with the standard attacks. Then comes the purple ones which have some sort of special effect associated with them. Next is gold attacks which are more like white attacks but it beats purple attacks.
