Nikki Bella knows that she is wrestling on borrowed time since she underwent neck surgery in 2015. The latest rumors have revealed that the former Divas champion will retire at WrestleMania 33 due to her neck injury.

According to Cageside Seats, Nikki is expected to team up with real-life boyfriend John Cena at WrestleMania 33 and face the real-life couple of The Miz and Maryse in a Mixed Tag Team Match. The report also noted that the 33-year-old superstar is wrestling her final match at the event.

It should be pointed out that Nikki underwent neck surgery in November 2015. The injury was reportedly caused by her high usage of her finisher, "Rack Attack", which puts too much pressure on her neck.

The former Divas champion returned to the ring after ten months of rehabilitation. She also changed her finisher into a Fireman's carry cutter that she called "Rack Attack 2.0". She also adopted Cena's STF submission maneuver and called it the "Fearless Lock."

Nikki has been limited in the ring since she came back from injury. She was supposed to become the SmackDown women's championship but her injury prevented her from establishing the title since she cannot wrestle full time.

As recapped by WWE.com, Nikki will face Natalya at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 12. The match is likely going to be the blowoff match if Nikki is indeed going to retire at WrestleMania 33.

On the other hand, Cena is expected to lose the WWE championship at Elimination Chamber. It makes sense that The Miz and Maryse challenge Cena and Nikki. The heels can always brag that they are the most powerful couple on SmackDown.

However, these are just rumors at the moment and nothing has been finalized. The WWE tends to change their plans until the final minute. As far as Nikki's career is concerned, she is a future Hall of Famer for being the longest WWE Divas champion in history.
