WWE Latest News: Jerry Lawler Signs New Contract, ECW Star Rips WWE Hall of Fame and More

Some of the latest WWE news involves legends like Jerry "The King" Lawler and Sabu, as well as WWE producers being unhappy with online leaks. Lawler recently signed a new deal with the WWE while Sabu took a shot at the WWE Hall of Fame.

On the other hand, WWE producers were very disappointed that information for last week's SmackDown Live was leaked. Mickie James returned under the La Luchadora mask but it was very predictable because several websites have already reported it.

'The King' Signs New WWE Deal

Lawler recently returned on WWE television last week on SmackDown Live when he hosted "The King's Court." It was also announced that the Hall of Famer and former color commentator will be calling this year's Royal Rumble Match.

In an interview with Cerrito Live, Lawler revealed that he signed a new one-year deal with the WWE. He added that the company has been signing legends to a deal like that this year. The 67-year-old legend was removed as a commentator last year.

Sabu Rips WWE Hall of Fame

One of the greatest ECW superstars of all time is Sabu and he is eligible to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. However, he told Sports Illustrated in an interview that the WWE Hall of Fame is fake but he'll do it for the money.

"It's such a fake Hall of Fame. I'd only do it because I need the money. I don't know if I would mother**** everyone or if I would take it graciously, but I don't consider it a real Hall of Fame," Sabu said.

The ECW alumni recently underwent hip replacement surgery. The 52-year-old was part of the WWE from 2006 to 2007 as part of the re-launch of ECW on the Sci-Fi Channel.

WWE Producers Unhappy with Online Leaks

According to PW Mania, WWE producers did not like the idea of information getting leaked online. They were hoping that the return of Mickie James would be a much bigger deal under the La Luchadora mask but the info leaked online killed the unpredictability.
