Dwayne Johnson, more famous for his wrestling name The Rock, is expected to be available for WrestleMania 33 on April 2 in his home state of Florida. However, the WWE has not finalized its plans for WrestleMania 33 which mean The Rock's role for the event is still up in the air.

According to Cageside Seats, Vince McMahon has started telling people backstage to do not prepare anything for The Rock at WrestleMania 33. The WWE chairman has reportedly made it clear that the six-time WWE champion is not going to wrestle at the biggest event of the year.

However, The Rock could always play a different role just like what he has done in previous WrestleManias. In his first WrestleMania since returning from a seven-year absence, he served as the host of the event back in 2011

The Rock also got involved in the main event of WrestleMania 27 when he helped The Miz retain the WWE championship against John Cena. He hit the Rock Bottom on Cena as it set up their match at WrestleMania 28, which then produced a rematch at WrestleMania 29.

At WrestleMania 30, The Rock opened the show with Hulk Hogan and Stone Cold Steve Austin. An injury from his match against Cena led to a lot of production companies to prevent The Rock from getting physical in the ring.

However, it did not last long since "The People's Champ" got physical at WrestleMania 31 when he attacked Triple H with the help of Ronda Rousey. And in last year's WrestleMania, he defeated Erick Rowan in an impromptu match.

One possible role for The Rock at WrestleMania 33 could be a possible confrontation with Triple H, according to Anthony DiMoro of Forbes. He pointed out that the WWE loves nostalgic moments and matches so setting up The Rock vs. Triple for WrestleMania 34 is not a bad idea.

Nevertheless, these are just rumors and the WWE tends to change their plans because of injuries, scheduling conflicts and other reasons. WrestleMania 33 will be held on April 2 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
