WWE Rumors: Bill Goldberg Signed Until WrestleMania 34? Update On His Current Deal

Bill Goldberg made his return to the WWE late last year and his deal is expected to retire at WrestleMania 33. However, the latest rumors have revealed that Goldberg could sign an extension with the WWE.

According to Pro Wrestling Unlimited, top WWE officials headed by Vince McMahon are reportedly very happy with Goldberg's return. The top brass is so happy that they want to extend the 49-year-old's deal until WrestleMania 34.

It should be noted that Goldberg signed a part-time deal with the WWE back in October. He was supposed to wrestle only once at Survivor Series against Brock Lesnar but all parties involved decided to prolong the feud.

Goldberg ended Lesnar's dominance in just one minute and 26 seconds. The finish was done to set up one final match between the two superstars at WrestleMania 33. Goldberg and Lesnar will both enter the 2017 Royal Rumble Match and they are expected to start the buildup to their third match.

The return of Goldberg was very big for the WWE since it helped their declining ratings. The WWE was struggling with viewers late last year because of the NFL season. Now that there is no longer football games on Monday nights, the WWE is looking to take advantage of it.

However, these are just purely speculative at the moment and nothing has been confirmed. The return of Kurt Angle could also overshadow both Goldberg and Lesnar which means Vince McMahon might lose interest.

The WWE chairman has been on edge since the start of 2017 since he's got a lot to think about for WrestleMania 33, per Wrestling Inc. The 71-year-old billionaire has already canceled two planned matches for WrestleMania this year, The Undertaker vs. John Cena and Charlotte vs. Bayley.

This means that the WWE chairman can change his mind regarding the future of Goldberg. The match between Goldberg and Lesnar are still on but based on their first meeting at WrestleMania XX, it won't be well-received by fans.
