Kurt Angle is the headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017. He deserves the recognition since he is one of the greatest superstars in WWE history. In a recent interview, WWE executive and part-time superstar, Triple H, revealed the real reason why Angle is going to be inducted into this year's Hall of Fame.

Triple H talked to IGN about several topics while promoting the WWE-themed animated film "Surf's Up 2: WaveMania." One of the topics tackled was the return of Angle, who spent the last ten years in TNA Wrestling after getting released by the WWE in 2006.

"The Game" believes Angle deserves to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He called the Olympic Hero one of the most "impactful and memorable and iconic" characters in the company's history. He also praised Angle for being the fastest person to ever pick up the wrestling industry.

"He very quickly went from walking to the ring for the first time to being one of the best in the world himself. It happened faster than anyone else. And that's what I do now mostly in my day to day job. Most of my day is focused on talent and recruiting and training and talent development. I don't believe I've ever seen someone pick it up as fast as Kurt," Triple H said.

According to his WWE.com profile, Angle is one of the most accomplished superstars in WWE history. He spent about a year in training before making his WWE debut on 1999 and quickly establishing himself as a main eventer.

The 48-year-old superstar six-time WWE world champion and a five-time tag team champion. He is also a former United States, European, Hardcore and Intercontinental Champion. He also won the King of the Ring Tournament in 2000.

Angle is the only WWE superstar in history to win an Olympic Gold Medal. He also produced a lot of great matches against the likes of Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, Eddie Guerrero, Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker.
