Alexa Bliss has taken over the SmackDown women's division despite the short time she's been on the main roster. She won the SmackDown women's championship back in December last year at the TLC pay-per-view after defeating Becky Lynch in a Tables Match.

Bliss recently revealed in an interview that she struggled with anorexia before becoming a WWE superstar. Her real-life boyfriend, NXT star Buddy Murphy, also announced on social media that they are now engaged.

SmackDown Women's champ struggled with anorexia

In an interview with the Akron-Beacon Journal, Bliss opened up about her struggles with anorexia multiple times in her life. She noted it happened first in high school before it got triggered again in college when she joined the University of Akron's cheerleading squad.

The 25-year-old superstar also revealed that he dropped from 120 pounds to 80 pounds in just six weeks. It was then that she realized she needs to get help and checked into the Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

"I told my coach that I needed to go home and get help. I checked into Nationwide Children's Hospital and the doctors were amazing and helped me get through it all. It was a tough time but it also made me the person I am today," Bliss said.

Alexa Bliss now engaged to Buddy Murphy

It is a sad day last Tuesday for all male Alexa Bliss fans when her boyfriend announced their engagement. The former NXT champion made the announcement on Instagram. The couple has been dating since 2015 when Bliss was managing the tag team of Blake and Murphy.
