Finn Balor has been out of action since late August 2016 because of right shoulder injury. He's rehabilitating the injury at the WWE Performance Center and he could be ready to return soon. The latest rumors revealed that "The Demon King" might enter the Royal Rumble Match.

Balor injured his right shoulder during his match against Seth Rollins at last year's SummerSlam. Despite wrestling with the injury, he managed to defeat Rollins to become the first-ever WWE Universal Champion.

However, Balor had to relinquish the title because he had to undergo surgery to repair his torn labrum. He was given four to six months of recovery time by his doctors. He even underwent a stem cell procedure to further improve his shoulder, per FOX Sports.

Since coming out of his sling, Balor is rehabbing his injury at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. And it seems like all the hard work is about to pay off because he could be cleared to return to the ring by WWE doctors this week.

According to PW Insider, the former Universal champion is set to undergo several medical tests this week that will clear him to return. It should be noted that he is already being linked with an appearance in the Royal Rumble Match as a surprise entrant.

Balor returning in the Royal Rumble Match is certainly a great way to make the event unforgettable. He is also one of the favorites to win the match along with Bill Goldberg, Randy Orton, The Undertaker and Braun Strowman, per Oddshark.

If Balor gets cleared to return, he will surely make an appearance at the Royal Rumble. And if he ends up winning the match, he has a ticket straight to the main event of WrestleMania 33. The logical feud for "The Demon King" is to challenge whoever the Universal champion to reclaim the title he never lost.

But of course, these are just purely speculative at the moment and nothing is certain. However, that is the beauty of wrestling and fans have to tune in if Balor will make his return to the WWE or not.
