Samsung is still trying to get Galaxy Note 7's explosion incidence out of people's mind. Now, because of that, tech giant delayed the launch of its upcoming smartphone Galaxy S8.

As confirmed by The Telegraph, Samsung said it won't unveil its latest flagship Galaxy S phone at Mobile World Congress at the end of February, thus breaking the tradition. The Samsung boss said the company needs to regain consumer trust after the botched release of the high-end Note 7.

It follows the long-awaited results of Samsung's investigation into the Note 7 internal explosions, caused by battery fault. This led to a global recall of over 1 million units which cost them $5.3 billion of profit.

Samsung's chief executive, Koh Dong-jin said that the lessons of this incident are deeply reflected in their culture and process. They are working hard to regain consumer trust.

Samsung engineers were investigating the Note 7's problem so analysts expect the Galaxy S8's delay and predicted it could go on sale in April. Samsung assured that the Galaxy S8 smartphone wouldn't come with any of the problems of the Note 7 and there won't be a fire risk.

They said, "we look forward to moving ahead with a renewed commitment to safety. The lessons of the past several months are now deeply reflected in our processes and in our culture."

Samsung recently announced the investigation report in which they revealed that the Note 7 explosions were caused by faulty batteries from two suppliers. There was no problem in the Samsung's hardware and software. As written in Express, Samsung Galaxy is rumored to boast a dramatic new industrial design with no physical buttons, an improved camera, bigger screen, iris scanner and a USB-C port.

A staple of Samsung smartphone and tablet design, an elongated physical Home Button flanked by two capacitive keys could be changed. There will be no more Edge variation of its flagship Galaxy S phone from this year because all models of the phone will have the curved edge-to-edge screen.

Samsung users are expecting Galaxy Note 8 to arrive soon but on the other hand, they are also a bit worried about the safety. Samsung wants to release the latest smartphone after gaining the trust of users.
