The Orlando Magic are off to an awful start this ongoing regular season. After almost three months, the team is still at the bottom half of the Eastern Conference division and appears to be not progressing. But, recent reports are saying that they are looking to acquire Goran Dragic from the Miami Heat before the trade deadline.

After hauling some solid players like Serge Ibaka, Bismack Biyombo and Jeff Green during the offseason, many Magic fans had high hopes on their campaign this year. But it seems that the acquired assets is not making wonders for the team as they are defensive players and not contributing on the offensive side.

With that observation, the Magic is said to be now looking for an offensive-minded player that could make the team better in offense. Magic general manager Rob Hennigan earlier stated that they are looking for "shooters" to complement they defense. And it seems that Dragic could be a viable option for them as an added offensive firepower.

According to FOXSports, Goran Dragic is most probably one of the biggest names that will be moved before the February trade deadline. Simply because the Miami Heat are not performing well this season and it appears that their campaign will be going nowhere. And the Orlando Magic are one of the first teams that have expressed their interest on him.

Dragic is the kind of player who can shoot the lights out when he start to wax hot on the court. He is averaging 19.0 points, 6.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game and shooting a remarkable 39.7 percent in the three-point zone which the Magic team are looking for. However, one of the concerns for the Magic is his defense but as said earlier they got defensive players to handle this.

But who will the Magic trade to the Heat? According to CBSSports, the Magic might offer a package of Elfrid Payton and Nikola Vucevic for Goran Dragic in a straight up trade with the Heat. The Magic might also add a draft pick to sweeten up the pot for the Heat and lure to give up Dragic to them.

Nevertheless, the rumored deal between the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat are still speculation as of this time as none of the teams involved have confirmed that there is negotiation between. But Goran Dragic will surely attract attention of teams that would like to have his offensive skill set if ever the Heat are decided to trade him.
