In an announcement that came as a surprise for many fans on WWE's "Monday Night Raw," Liv Morgan announced that she's taking time off away from the squared circle.

The announcement was made during a backstage promo, which also featured Raquel Rodriguez, Dominik Mysterio, AJ Styles, and Nick Aldis, who was stepping in for Raw General Manager Adam Pearce.

So why is Morgan stepping away temporarily from the WWE?

Why Liv Morgan is Temporarily Leaving

It was revealed during the promo that Morgan is stepping away for a while to shoot a Hollywood movie.

According to Sports Illustrated, Morgan landed a major role in a Hollywood movie, which means she needs to take time off to shoot her scenes.

While no specific information has been revealed as of press time, reports indicate that more details about her movie will be revealed by next week.

Morgan is, as of writing, one-half of the WWE Women's Tag Titles, with Rodriguez serving as her partner. The pair won their titles back last week after beating Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria. Lynch then turned on Valkyria.

As of press time, there has not been any indication that Morgan and Rodriguez will relinquish their title belts. However, it is likewise not clear how long Morgan will be out to film her movie, so the WWE Universe has to wait and see what happens next.
