As trade deadline is fast approaching, trade rumors to Carmelo Anthony is also starting to heat up as of late. Recent news is saying that he is in the hot seat of controversy following a statement he released just recently. And now, one report is circulating that a possible swap between Melo and Kevin Love might happen before the trade deadline ends.

Anthony has been the subject of many gossips that is floating online today. After a disappointing loss to the Toronto Raptors last Sunday, Anthony revealed that if New York Knicks president Phil Jackson feel that he is not useful with the team, then "that's a conversation we should have." Heating up speculation that he would not finish his career as a Knick.

However, he had a no-trade clause on his contract preventing him to be traded. But now, recent report are saying that Melo is said to be willing to waive his no-trade clause if things will not pan out with the Knicks. According to FanRag Sports, it seems that Carmelo Anthony will change his mind after previously saying that he is not gonna leave the Knicks.

The report says that Melo would waive the no-trade clause in his contract and try to land on a competitive team. And two of the teams that could be a possible destination for him is the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Los Angeles Clippers. But it looks like the Cavaliers have the clear advantage of acquiring him as they can give a good trade offer to the Knicks.

According to King James Gospel, now that Anthony is said to available for trade and would accept a deal from the Cleveland Cavaliers, revisiting a previous deal for both teams might be possible and it could happen before the trade deadline.

Just last year, a three-team trade deal between the Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics and New York Knicks involving Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love have already been discussed as per stated in the report. However, as history goes, the deal never happen as both players still stick around with their teams. But this time around, a straight up deal between the Cavs and Knicks is possible.

Trade scenario is saying that the Cavs will acquire Anthony plus a first round pick from Knicks in exchange for Love. The trade seems plausible as both players will bring in their superstar skill set and experience for both teams.

Having Anthony on a Cavs uniform will reunite him with his good buddy LeBron James. James will surely have the approval of this trade even it means losing Love in the rotation. It is well-known that Melo is an offense-minded player and will definitely put up big numbers on the board.

On the other hand, the Knicks will never be a loser in this trade as they will certainly benefit to Love's recent rise in production providing 20.7 points and 10.8 rebound per game this season. Aside from the numbers, Love will also be bringing in his championship experience last year that could help the Knicks go to the next level.

Will a Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Love swap a possibility before the trade deadline ends?
