Liverpool Transfer News: Pedro Likely to Move, Manchester City Won't Pay £50 Million for Raheem Sterling and More

According to ESPN FC, Raheem Sterling has missed training for a second consecutive day after citing poor health. Unhappy with his contract at Liverpool, the 20-year-old is reportedly deploying a tactic to force the club's hand and sell to rival clubs in the Premier League.

Just don't expect it to be Manchester City.

Below is all the latest transfer gossip surrounding the Reds.

Raheem Sterling

If you were to believe Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the club is in the market for high-quality players like Sterling.

"You will see some players who have served us well, and maybe it's time for them to move onto their next challenge," Al Mubarak said (via Manchester Evening News). "And you will see us in the market bringing high-quality individuals that fit within what we are aspiring to be in the summer."

But his actions say otherwise.

According to Manchester Evening News, City are unlikely to meet Liverpool's £50 million valuation for Sterling. Per the reports, a third bid is not imminent.

Asier Illarramendi

Dominoes must fall before Liverpool are able to land Asier Illarramendi. According to the Express, the midfielder's future at Real Madrid is contingent upon the club's ability to land Sporting Club's William Carvalho.

Should a deal for Carvalho go through, £16 million will be enough to lure Illarramendi to Anfield.

Pedro

Even Pedro isn't sure about his future at Barcelona.

"It is evident that my situation at Barcelona is a delicate one," Pedro told Mundo Deportivo (via Liverpool Echo). "Now, we have to work out what is best for everyone. Right now I am on vacation, so I will talk about my future later."

Liverpool remain favorites to sign the spanish winger, but will have to beat off competition from Inter Milan.
