Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been posting photos on Instagram of various women's items including shoes, purses and handbags, and it may be as a result of a breakup with his fiancée Shantel Jackson. Reports indicate Mayweather may have taken the expensive items back so that he can sell them in the midst of a tough breakup.
Mayweather posted a photo on Instagram of himself sitting on his couch next to several purses.
"Up late, Face Timing with my Mom telling her to come get these BIRKIN bags so I can have some room on my sofa #HERMES," Mayweather attached to the pictures.
Then, a few days later, Mayweather took a picture of women's shoes and captioned, "I've got a new business venture coming soon with top of the line women shoes & handbags."
The posts seemed odd, but a report from celebrity gossip site Media Takeout in June indicated that Mayweather and Jackson had gone through some problems and had broken up. The report also indicated that Mayweather had taken back all the costly gifts he bought for Jackson in order for her to prove her worth to him as they went through the split. There seemed to have been some trust issues in the relationship as Mayweather reportedly caught Jackson texting other men in more than a casual way, and even got mad at her for supposedly flirting with men at a birthday party she threw for herself.
Mayweather was reportedly enraged that Jackson had help from his ex-best friend rapper 50 Cent to promote her party.
Mayweather later put up a picture of handbags and wrote, "Only name brands will be part of this venture. More info coming soon..." He then posted a picture of the shoes and handbags together.
Pictures of Jackson from the party as well as the Instagram pictures that Mayweather took can be found here.
In his last post, Mayweather mentioned Jackson in the caption, leading to speculation over whether or not the breakup was real.
"This new venture is by both me and @MissJackson. Coming soon," he said.
It could be that they split and the boxer was just mocking her, or possibly they didn't break up and are just having fun with each other.
Floyd said in his "30 Days in May" documentary on Showtime that men should be able to have multiple women, and Jackson said she was fine with an open relationship. However, after Mayweather's ex and mother of his children Josie Harris posted a photo of her and Mayweather in bed, Jackson then responded by posting pictures of all the gifts Mayweather had gotten her.
Whether or not Floyd and Jackson have split remains to be seen, but the intrigue in the situation is growing.
