
Two runners from Ethiopia came out on top at this year's Tokyo Marathon.
Held on March 2 in Japan's bustling capital, Tadese Takele won the men's sider of the Tokyo Marathon, while Sutume Asefa Kebede won the women's side.

Ethiopian Runners Come Out on Top
Takele clocked in at 2:3:23, narrowly beating fellow Ethiopian Deresa Geleta, who had a time of 2:3:51, according to the Associated Press.

Kebede, on the other hand, won her second straight Tokyo Marathon with the time of 2:16:31. Kenya's Winfridah Moraa Moseti of Kenya was similarly just a few seconds behind with a time of 2:16:56.
Harry Styles Runs the Tokyo Marathon
Among the thousands running the Tokyo Marathon is a very familiar face, especially for One Direction fans. It has been confirmed that singer Harry Styles participated in the race, finishing with an impressive time of 3:24:07.
While his time is more than hour from Takele's run, Styles' 6,010th place finish meant that he was ahead most of the 26,706 runners who finished the race, according to PEOPLE.
