Metta World Peace "Too Sexy For His Cat": Los Angeles Lakers' Metta World Peace Tells Reporters He Was Able To Come Back From Surgery In 12 Days Because He's Too Sexy For His Cat VIDEO

Metta World Peace of the Los Angeles Lakers, who played 15 minutes during Tuesday night's 104-96 win over the New Orleans Hornets despite having knee surgery a mere 12 days ago, responded in strange fashion to a reporter asking how he was able to recover so quickly.

World Peace indicated that his speedy return had everything to do with how "sexy" he is.

"Well, you know, I'm just too sexy for my cat. I'm too sexy for my cat. My cat. I'm just too sexy for my cat. If I wasn't as sexy for my cat, I probably wouldn't have came back. I'm so sexy, I came back. Too sexy for my cat, too sexy to wear a sleeve or a bracelet [on my knee], so I had to come back. I felt sexy, I felt like my team was working, I felt like we wanted it. We just wanted to come together collectively. Play hard, do it together. ... I'm definitely too sexy for my cat, definitely, we know that. I'm also too tough to let a meniscus surgery keep me out for six weeks. I'm too sexy for the cat."

World Peace rushed back from his meniscus injury because the Lakers are in a ferocious battle for the eighth seed in the Western Conference playoffs. Following Tuesday's win over the Hornets, Los Angeles moved a half game ahead of the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers have a tough final four games ahead of them, consisting of a road game against the Portland Trailblazers, followed by home games against three playoff teams, the Golden State Warriors, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets.

The Jazz fell 90-80 at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder Tuesday night, and have three games left on their schedule. They have back-to-back showdowns with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and finish up the year on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Utah also owns the tiebreaker against the Lakers should they finish the season with identical records.
