2014 NFL Draft: Cleveland Browns Pick Oklahoma State Justin Gilbert No. 8 Overall

At No. 8 overall the Cleveland Browns have traded up to draft Oklahoma State cornerback Justin Gilbert.

Pros:
- Ball hawk
- Great, fluid hips
- Great man coverage
- Return man
- Versatile for different schemes
- Great tackler
- Safe with ton of upside

Cons:
- Temper can hinder his ability
- Players can get in his head
- Inconsistent at times

Analysis: The Browns pulled their second trade of the night to draft a player many thought wouldn't be taken until the teens. Gilbert is a hard hitting ball hawk that will make plays in the secondary all by himself. Pairing him with the likes of Joe Haden can only help his development. The Browns are stocking up on defensive talent and have added a second first round pick for the Bills in 2015.

Cleveland still has the No. 26 pick to get a quarterback, but missing out on a player like Watkins has to sting a little. Watkins lining up opposite Josh Gordon could have been one of the best one-two punches in recent memory. I don't hate the move, but its not the best move the Browns could have made.

Grade: C+
I don’t hate the pick of Gilbert, but this is a little early for him and considering the Browns could have had Watkins I can't love this pick.

Other Picks:
1. Houston Texans: Jadeveon Clowney
2. St. Louis Rams: Greg Robinson
3. Jacksonville Jaguars: Blake Bortles
4. Buffalo Bills: Sammy Watkins
5. Oakland Raiders: Khalil Mack
6. Atlanta Falcons: Jake Matthews
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Mike Evans
