NFL News: Colin Kaepernick Expected To Opt Out With The San Francisco 49ers; Here's Four Possible Destination For Him [VIDEO]

Colin Kaepernick is once again the hot topic of online news as of late. After being involved in the national anthem controversy last season, reports are spreading that the 29-year old quarterback is expected to opt out on his contract with the San Francisco 49ers.

The San Francisco 49ers had a terrible 2016 NFL season finishing dead last in the NFC division with a 2-14 win-loss record. This is their worst outing since 2004 where they had the same record and part of the reason for their poor showing is the failure of Colin Kaepernick to stabilized their offense.

The team has one of the worst offense in the league last season with Colin Kaepernick calling the shots as they only averaging 19.3 points (27th) and total yards of 308.1 (31st). And worst, the San Francisco 49ers defense is also awful allowing 30.0 points (32nd) and 406.4 total yards (32nd) to opponents. With a dismal performance, latest news is saying that Kaepernick could be on his way out of the team.

According to NFL.com, Colin Kaepernick's time with the San Francisco 49ers might come to an end as his new agents have informed all the 32 NFL teams that he is opting out of his contract with the 49ers. Earlier reports last year have already indicated that this would happen as Kaepernick restructured his contract last October.

Drafted in the second round by the San Francisco 49ers in 2011, Colin Kaepernick has played 69 games with the team, throwing 12,271 yards with 72 touchdowns and 30 interceptions. In his sophomore year, he leads the team to its first Super Bowl appearance after 18 years but lost to the Baltimore Ravens in the championship game. If ever Kap decides not to go back with the 49ers, here are four teams that could be a possible destination for him.

According to ESPN, the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns and New York Jets are amongst the teams that could be a potential landing spot for Colin Kaepernick if ever he leaves the San Francisco 49ers. The Ravens could well use Kaepernick as a perfect backup to Joe Flacco who could lose unrestricted free agent QB Ryan Mallett if not signed while the Bills will have a perfect replacement for Tyrod Taylor if they decide to release him.

The Browns also had a chaotic performance last season after struggling to find a capable quarterback to lead the team and Colin Kaepernick could be the person they are looking for. Meanwhile, the Jets are also in need of an experienced QB after they voided the last year of Ryan Fitzpatrick's contract and Kap could well help the team rebuild for next season.

Where will Colin Kaepernick be the best fit if ever he decides not to return to the San Francisco 49ers?
