Cleveland Cavaliers Lands Deron Williams To Back Up Kyrie Irving, LeBron James' Wish Fulfilled

The Cleveland Cavaliers has gifted LeBron James with the point guard he has been wishing for with the acquisition of Deron Williams. The Cleveland roster changes will reportedly not end with the addition of Williams as the Cave is still looking to land Andrew Bogut.

LeBron James and Kyrie Irving have been sharing playmaking duties for the Cavs during the first half of the season. The burden has caused LeBron James to voice out his discontent with the Cavs' depth in the point guard spot.

This will no longer be the case as the Cleveland Cavaliers has found the point guard that LeBron has been wishing for in Deron Williams. According to USAToday, Deron Williams may just be the playmaker that LeBron James wanted.

The Deron Williams Cleveland Cavaliers addition is probably the biggest deal that a playoff team has done this season. The addition of Deron Williams to the Cavaliers has filled up one of the biggest holes in the Cleveland lineup.

The 32-year old point guard may just be a shell of his former All-Star self but is still able to contribute offensively. Deron Williams may still even play starter minutes on other teams in the league.

Williams is currently averaging 13.1ppg and 6.9ppg this season. This will be a great help to a Cavs team that has been looking for a suitable backup for Kyrie Irving.

Aside from the acquisition of Deron Williams, the Cleveland Cavaliers is still looking to add Andrew Bogut to their roster. According to ESPN, the Australian Center is negotiating his release from the Philadelphia 76ers and will reportedly choose to join the Cavs once he has cleared waivers.

The Andrew Bogut and Deron Williams Cleveland Cavaliers acquisition will certainly make the Cavs team even better. With the Cavs championship core still intact, adding two starter caliber players will make an NBA title repeat more possible.
