Today at 3 a.m. ET, Austria and Norway go head-to-head in men's ice hockey live from the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi in Group B action as part of the 2014 Winter Olympics. The game can be live streamed for free here.
Austria and Norway enter play each looking for their first win in the tournament, and will try to improve their position heading into the qualification playoff.
Austria will try to improve its defense as it has allowed a tournament-high 14 goals-against thus far in the tournament, and the team has been shutout once so far as well. The team has lost 8-4 to Finland and then 6-0 to Canada.
"[Canada is] definitely one of the favorites, if not the favorite, so I think we can be proud of our effort," forward Michael Grabner of the New York Islanders, who notched a hat trick in the tournament, said per NHL.com. "Obviously, we would have liked to score a goal or two, but they're a great team. It was a tough game."
Grabner has 20 points through 56 games for the Islanders off of nine goals and 11 assists this season.
Norway hasn't fared much better defensively during the tournament, as the team has given up nine goals through their first two games, the second most in the tournament. The team is coming off a 3-1 loss to Canada and a 6-1 defeat at the hands of Finland.
"It was a tough game," Norway coach Roy Johansen said of the 6-1 loss, according to NHL.com. "We didn't have a possibility to win."
Mats Zuccarello is the lone NHL representative for Norway and has 15 tallies and 28 helpers for 43 points this season for the New York Rangers through 58 games.
Austria and Norway each search for their first win when they faceoff today in Sochi as part of the 2014 Winter Olympics.
