According to Moss, his health problems started in November when his liver began "acting up." Doctors discovered cancer located between his pancreas and liver after a procedure around Thanksgiving.

The alarming news led to an intensive six-hour surgery earlier this week to remove the cancerous growth.

Sports Illustrated reported Moss had spent six days recovering in the Charlotte hospital before going home to complete his treatment there. This "cancer survivor" was still cheerful despite chemotherapy and radiation as part of his plan going forward.
