The Brooklyn Nets' offseason is just getting started.

The Nets made the first big trade of the 2024 NBA offseason by sending Mikal Bridges and a 2026 second-round pick to their city rivals, the New York Knicks, in exchange for a massive haul of draft capital and small forward Bojan Bogdanović.

Despite the huge windfall, the Nets are not done acquiring more picks. They are looking to unload forwards Cam Johnson and Dorian Finney-Smith for even more draft capital, according to league insider Evan Sidery of Forbes Sports.

The two players are valuable rotation pieces who could help contending teams reach the next level. The Nets, not currently seeking immediate contention, believe they could receive solid value in return for these players.

The Nets' haul from the Bridges trade to the Knicks is four unprotected first-round picks (2025, 2027, 2029, 2031), a 2025 protected first-round pick from Milwaukee, a 2028 unprotected pick swap, and a 2025 second-round pick.

Nets' enourmous draft picks

The Nets will not select in the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft because they traded away their previous picks, but that will be the last time.

After the recent Knicks-Nets trade, the first transaction between the two rival teams since 1983, Brooklyn now has an enormous number of first-round picks.

The Nets will now have at least 13 first-round draft picks from 2025 to 2031 and are expected to add more with their upcoming moves.
