Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes was tuned in for Game 5 of the 2024 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, June 17.
While the quarterback wasn't physically present at the TD Garden in Boston, Mahomes was watching as he reacted to Celtics point guard Payton Pritchard's ridiculous half-court buzzer-beater to end the first half.
"Bro, i hate this dude [laughing emojis]," the reigning Super Bowl MVP posted on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, after Pritchard's shot.
Pritchard's long-range heave extended the Celtics' lead to 21, 67-46, entering halftime as they were just a half away from their potential record-setting 18th NBA Championship.
The 26-year-old playmaker also hit a similar shot in Game 2 on the same floor, this time at the end of the third quarter. Both shots marked significant momentum shifts in favor of Boston.
