The Kansas City Chiefs were finally handed their latest championship rings following their Super Bowl 58 win over the San Francisco 49ers last February. This was their third title in the last five years.

However, eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed a strange and glaring error in the rings after the team posted photos of the hardware on their social media accounts.

The engraving under the face of the ring listed all of their opponents in the playoff run and their seeds, but their Wild Card opponent, the Miami Dolphins, was incorrectly labeled as the seventh seed in the AFC.

The Dolphins were the sixth seed, while the Chiefs were the third. It would have been impossible for them to meet in the postseason if that weren't the case.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers were the seventh seed, losing to the second-seeded Buffalo Bills in the Wild Card Round.

The Chiefs dominated the Dolphins during their Wild Card game, winning 26-7 on January 13 in one of the coldest games in NFL history at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.

Chiefs players and staff get their latest championship rings

The Chiefs shared additional details about their Super Bowl 58 rings on social media.

According to the rings' maker, Jostens, each ring contains 529 diamonds, 38 rubies, and 14.8 carats of gems.

The Chiefs produced over 400 rings for this championship, which they distributed to all their players, staff, and personnel.
